There is a trick if you make the spine as small as possible, and use limb parts to make the rest of the body, you can make your creature really long and add heaps more parts than you would normally
I haven't actually got spore installed at the moment unfortunately Recently had to get my laptop fixed and I can't find my disc to reinstall it though
But I'll give you a list of steps from memory
1. Hover over the spine to make arrows appear 2. Reduce spine using the arrows to the smallest number you can make it, and scroll down on them so that they are small in size too. 3. Grab an arm or leg and attach it to the spine. 4. Remove the hand/foot 5. Grab another arm and hold down CTRL to attach it to the joint of the other arm 6. remove the hand/foot 7.Scroll to increase the size of the ones nearest to the spine 8.Keep adding and shaping the limbs until you are happy with the shape of the body!
This is mainly to increase the amount of space that you can use on details
Some useful spore tips:
ALT - copies a part TAB - gives you more rotation options (means you can use lots of different parts in different ways )
I hope that helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. The best way to learn with spore though is through trying these things out yourself
